The Legal Secretaries will support attorneys across multiple practice areas, including Landlord-Tenant / Unlawful Detainers, Family Law, and Civil Litigation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected nonprofit legal services organization making a meaningful impact in the community.

Duties:

  • Draft, format, proofread, and prepare legal documents
  • Manage court filings, service of documents, and case files
  • Maintain attorney calendars, hearing dates, depositions, and appointments
  • Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors
  • Support multiple attorneys and practice groups based on organizational needs
  • Assist with case preparation, exhibits, binders, and administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Civil Litigation experience required
  • California State e-Filing experience required
  • Strong knowledge of court rules, filings, and calendaring
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Spanish fluency highly desired (not required)
  • Federal e-Filing experience is a plus

Additional Details:

  • Compensation: $25 - $28/hour
  • Schedule Monday-Thursday: 7.5-hour days; Friday: 7-hour day
  • Locations: Downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica
  • Parking: paid parking provided
  • Hybrid schedule after initial training period (approximately 3 months)
